Does Detailing Before Selling Actually Pay Off?
The honest answer is: usually yes, and often significantly. A car priced at £5,000 with tired paint, dirty carpets and foggy headlights may sit unsold for weeks and end up selling at a discount. The same car after a full valet (£120), paint correction (£200) and headlight restoration (£40) will photograph better, attract more enquiries and give buyers less reason to negotiate hard.
The £360 total spend can easily yield an extra £500–£1,000 on the final price — particularly on higher-value cars. We will always tell you honestly if we think the work will not be worthwhile for the specific vehicle.

Is car detailing worth it before selling?
In most cases, yes. The cost of a professional valet and paint correction is typically recovered in the sale price, particularly on cars worth £3,000 or more. For lower-value cars a basic valet alone is usually sufficient and will make the car photograph much better for adverts.
How long before selling should I book?
Ideally 1–2 weeks before listing the car. This gives time for any additional treatments (such as ceramic coating cure time) and lets you photograph the car in its best condition before advertising.
